These actions are not part of the workflow in the real world. No editing or Color tabs that add extra steps to the process, like when using Fusion within Resolve. I teach VFX fundamentals in an industry standard pipeline, which relies on a standalone version of the VFX software working on single VFX shots one at a time. Unfortunately, VFX compositors at VFX vendors do not work inside an editorial program, like Resolve. I of course was ecstatic when Blackmagic revitalized the program, integrating it into their offerings. I teach Fusion standalone as the main VFX software in my courses as I have used it professionally as an artist since 2001. I was wondering if anyone else is concerned about the free version of Fusion standalone not being offered after v9, thus potentially when the next OS upgrade occurs, it will not be able to install.
